Vocational training and other educational organizations operate Brownfields Job Training Programs to recruit and train unemployed and underemployed individuals with the skills needed to secure long-term employment in the environmental field.

Program graduates assist in the cleanup and revitalization of environmentally challenged properties in their communities.

Key topics include:

  • How to start planning a Brownfield Job Training program
  • How to complete a market study-especially understanding community/employer needs
  • How to find funding to support the program

Who Should Attend?

Community educational organizations and institutions, such as Vocational Training, Community Colleges, local government officials, and others interested in meeting workforce needs in their community, will benefit from this webinar.

EPA provides funding in support of community-based Brownfields Job Training Programs. A special emphasis is placed on supporting Job Training programs in historically overburdened and underserved communities, including in rural and tribal settings.
