KSU TAB provided screening for heavy metal contaminants in garden soils in conjunction with the Austin Brownfields Revitalization Office Soil Kitchen event on March 4, 2023.  Austin residents living in a formerly polluted area were able to confirm a lack of contamination in soil samples from vegetable gardens.  Personnel from the KSU Agronomy Department conducted X-Ray Fluorescence on 112 soil samples at the Givens Recreation Center at 3811 E. 12th.
