
Pam VanderPol joined the Center for Hazardous Substance Research in 2025 for the position of Accountant II. She is responsible for bookkeeping and accounting for all grant and non-grant accounts, reconciling transactions with the Financial Information System (FIS) using tools such as e-forms, DFS, and Concur. Pam prepares quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with sponsor requirements and serves as a liaison between the Director of Finance and Sponsored Programs Accounting (SPA) to ensure compliance with university and sponsor guidelines. She also assists departmental staff with travel and non-travel reimbursements, interfund vouchers, and Foundation payments.
In her free time, Pam enjoys walking her dog, Lilibet, and spending time on crafts such as crochet, diamond painting, and wreath-making.
