Dr. Isaiah Zukowski holds a PhD in Adult Education from Pennsylvania State University and is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Participatory and Adult Community Education at the Center for Hazardous Substance Research at Kansas State University. Through the Technical Assistance to Brownfields (TAB) program, they focus on community-engaged environmental decision-making, with attention to how technical knowledge is translated and taken up in local contexts.
Their expertise centers on participatory adult learning and qualitative research. Their work examines how individuals and communities interpret risk and navigate regulatory systems in environmental contexts. They are also an adjunct professor at Thomas Jefferson University and have experience in correctional and reentry education.
