Dakota County Redevelopment Incentive Grant Program

State Funding & Resources

The Redevelopment Incentive Grant Program (the RIG Program) is intended to assist Dakota County cities fund the public portion of a Public Private Partnership redevelopment project. The RIG program offers two types of funding 1) Planning/Technical Assistance Grants up to $15,000 and 2) Project Grants up to $250,000. Eligible activities funded under this program may include market analysis, financial feasibility studies, concept development, site design, zoning studies, engineering studies, and environmental studies, environmental assessments including Phase I assessments, development of Response Action Plans, property acquisition, clearance and demolition, environmental investigation and/or remediation activities on the impacted site, limited public infrastructure improvements required for and directly connected to the redevelopment project, and much more.
