The Ready for Reuse program offers grants and loans to local governments and non-profits to help cleanup environmental contamination (hazardous substances or petroleum) at brownfields throughout the state. Grants will be awarded to projects that can be completed in two years, up to a maximum of $200,000 per site. Grant applicants must own the property. Loans are zero-interest, subject to available funding and generally awarded for projects that require amounts of $250,000 or more.
