Presented by the Technical Assistance to Brownfields (TAB) Program at Kansas State University in partnership with the Carbon County Economic Development Corporation, City of Rawlins, and Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WY DEQ). This workshop will include:
- Brownfields basics refresher;
- a start-to-finish Wyoming Brownfields project, sharing successes and lessons learned;
- a redevelopment panel discussion for an existing brownfields project in Rawlins, WY; and,
- a hands-on mapping exercise for workshop participants.
Please join us to learn how to bring your abandoned buildings, old gas stations, or other underutilized properties back to productive use, hear about challenges and lessons learned to overcome hurdles & about available resources for revitalizing your community! Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions and share information about sites in their community.
Who Should Attend: Local government officials, key community stakeholders, neighborhood associations, economic and community development organizations, not-for-profit entities, community groups, private citizens, real estate developers, commercial real estate brokers, lenders and others working to promote cleanup and revitalization in Carbon County.
