The mission of NewWest Community Capital is to increase access to capital by small businesses and community development organizations engaged in economic development and affordable housing, halt community deterioration, and create jobs throughout the economically disadvantaged areas of the western United States. In addition to a full spectrum of community development loans, they also provide development services to applicants, borrowers, and the communities they serve. Established in 1999, they were certified as a Community Development Financial Institution by the U.S. Treasury in 2001. Its products and services include small business loans, affordable housing loans for the development of land, and a variety of housing projects.
