Buffalo, OK

The rural Town of Buffalo, Oklahoma requested assistance with the initial steps to address many brownfields properties, particularly those in the downtown corridor.  KSU TAB and TAB Partner Adaapta, in coordination with ODEQ and OCC Brownfields Program personnel:

• toured the community with Town officials to identify brownfields and discuss redevelopment priorities,
• conducted two community engagement meetings (one with high school students, the other with the general population) to gather input from residents regarding current successful properties and generate future property reuse ideas, and
• created a Resource Roadmap identifying up to 70 potential funding resources the Town of Buffalo may use for brownfields redevelopment.
