Former Acme Power Plant

165 Acme Road
Sheridan, WY 82801
United States

Since taking ownership of the former Acme Power Plant site in 2017, the Sheridan County Conservation District has utilized multiple KSU TAB Technical Assistance services to support their cleanup and redevelopment efforts. In particular, KSU TAB alongside its partner Adaapta, facilitated a community reuse visioning workshop in August 2017 to generate enthusiasm and support for the redevelopment project as well as gather public input for future use of the site.  A copy of the reuse visioning report is available on the Acme Project webpage.  In December 2021, KSU TAB performed a Site Opportunity Analysis with partners Jesse Silverstein and Andy Arnold in preparation for the District’s FY22 EPA Brownfields Cleanup grant application.  Other KSU TAB services included a review of the FY22 cleanup grant application, which was selected for award, and assistance with the request for qualifications and proposal (RFQP) process in early 2023.
