Connecting Job Training, Worker Safety, and Community Revitalization
Event Information
The NIEHS Worker Training Program (WTP) and the EPA Brownfields Job Training Program (BFJT) are hosting a joint webinar to help current and prospective partners better understand how these programs work—individually and together—to support effective job training and workforce development initiatives.
Participants will:
- Learn about the missions, eligibility, and training focus of both programs
- Explore how WTP and BFJT can be leveraged in complementary ways
- Hear from grantees implementing training in real‑world settings
- Gain insight into emerging workforce trends, including rural health, energy, water infrastructure, and technology‑enabled training
- Engage in facilitated discussions with peers and program representatives
Who Should Attend:
Workforce development and training organizations, community‑based organizations, nonprofits, local governments, Tribes, technical assistance providers, and others engaged in brownfields redevelopment, hazardous materials training, and community workforce development.
